Biography

Susan Morosky

Susan Morosky’s colorful abstract paintings are nature based, and very painterly with lots of interesting brushwork and gesture.  The viewer can almost feel the flowing waters or gentle breezes of her natural inspiration.

Susan received her BFA in Sculpture and Painting from Eastern Michigan University.  In addition she studied under Graham Nickson, of the New York Studio School and Robert Wilbert at Wayne State University.

  • “Making art is a journey to understand the world, both materially and conceptually, through the observance of nature, form, and color.  My paintings develop from an abstract vocabulary inspired by the properties of water, fields, and their boundaries.  I work to create a natural rhythm as a means to capture the flow of spontaneous activity.  Striving to feel and reflect nature’s underlying forces as witnessed by the human spirit.”
