Current Art Trends 2024: Textural and Mixed Media art

Tovari Designs' textural, abstract and impressionistic canvases undergo a meticulous layering process, embodying reflections on life, aspects of nature, and the delicate dance of balance. The artist employs a diverse array of materials, including acrylics, watercolors, pigments, charcoal, oils, and plaster, showcasing a rich tapestry of artistic exploration.

“Using vintage ephemera in my work is a way to pay homage to those memories, those lives. In a world that is becoming more digital each day, I’m driven to bring new life to objects that may otherwise be lost and deteriorated in time. The challenge I seek is to maintain a balance between working with such old objects and recreating them in a contemporary artwork that holds the test of time.” Kelsy Irvin

After spending many years exploring a wide range of techniques and media, Kelsey Irvin has developed a unique way of incorporating drawing, painting, and collage into almost all of her work. Reaching for a balance between the past and the present, her work exudes a deep sense of nostalgia.

Ran Adler, a Naples Florida artist, assembles a variety of natural elements into sculptural compositions that attach directly to a wall or may be free-standing. His work is spiritual, organic, sensual and richly textured. Many of Ran's pieces are commissioned and customized to the space.

An avid gardener and sculptor, Bradley Sabin finds inspiration through the nature around him. His intricate ceramic sculptures explore a metaphorical equation between the care and time needed to have a flourishing garden, and that required for human relationships, which also need to be nurtured and protected to thrive. Sabin’s forms translate nature to speak to the interior, to the human, to bridge inside and outside, and transform geometric spaces to something living, hand-touched and alive.

“The ultimate goal for me would be to have my work create the same sense of awe and wonder that is achieved when seeing something amazing in our natural world.”….Bradley Sabin
